How Cool! We found this dead shark washed up on the beach on our vacation. We think it was a sand shark. The kids thought it was the best thing ever. They put the shark in a bucket with water and kept insisting that they saw it move or that bubbles were coming out of it's mouth (yes, my sister and I checked to make sure it wasn't still alive). They were so funny. The shark's eyes were so blue, you can even see that in the picture. It really was a great "science lesson" and we thought school was out for the summer!

SHARK!!!!!
How Cool! We found this dead shark washed up on the beach on our vacation. We think it was a sand shark. The kids thought it was the best thing ever. that is so cool. i wish my kids could have seen something like that....sure makes you want to be careful in the water
Yeah it does make you want to be careful in the water! My sister said that on her evening walks that she saw several washed up on the shore.
beth, you know we were at emerald isle the same week and hope had 6 of our 9 children out on a sandbar and had a shark expereince. i might post about it on my blog and you know a month ago a 9 yr old boy was hospitalized after being attacked by a shark at bear island. also, i don't know if you watch "shark week" on discovery channel( i love it). but i learned on one of those shows that off the coast of beaufort is the biggest population of tiger sharks in the world. they hang out in all those ship recks. people come from all over the world to observe them. i thought that was cool.
Beth....I am so glad you guys got to get away with your family at the beach. Adele will never forget this beach experience.
